I made these today for the kids and Princess Girl loved them, Little Guy did not. I thought they were good, but they do taste different than your regular Bisquick pancakes. They are a little more doughy, which is perfect for a 6 month old to gum on. I got the basic recipe from Wholesome Baby Food and made a few changes to it.
1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
1cup uncooked commercial baby oatmeal cereal from the box
1 cup milk
1 mashed banana
1 tbsp melted margarine
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 cup of water
Dash of cinnamon
Mix all ingredients together and add enough juice to make pancake consistency. Cook on your cook top in a frying pan as you would with “regular” pancakes. Cooking these baby cereal pancakes on a griddle will work better as you will have more control over the temperature and will be better able to keep the temp. at a constant heat.
This made 30 pancakes! And they freeze well.
